At the heart of the PB01 is an AAT1217 - a highly efficient, synchronous, fixed frequency (1.2 MHz), step-up converter developed specially for battery-powered applications. The high switching frequency and integrated control circuitry keeps outstanding regulation, ripple, and transient response across the entire load range.

The AAT1217 generates ultra efficient performance for light load conditions thanks to light load operation and low quiescent current. With a 1.2A peak inductor current limit, the AAT1217 can deliver an impressive 400mA from a single CR2032 coin cell.
